A partner since 1985 until his retirement from active practice in 2021, Billy Harrison has substantial experience in a broad range of property and casualty insurance matters, encompassing a variety of environmental, personal injury, property damage, and construction cases. Billy still maintains an active practice as a mediator and arbitrator and is one of the registered Atlanta mediators and arbitrators with the Georgia Bar. He was listed in the insurance law section of the 2009 through 2012 editions of Georgia’s Best Lawyers and in the Super Lawyers listing in 2010 through 2017, by a survey of attorneys in Georgia.
Mr. Harrison was born in Sewanee, Tennessee, on December 6, 1946. He received a B.A. from the University of the South in 1968, an M.A. from the University of South Carolina in 1970, and his J.D., cum laude, from Mercer University in 1977. He belongs to the Atlanta Bar Association, North Fulton Bar Association, and the State Bar of Georgia, in which he has served as editor of the Younger Lawyers Section Newsletter, 1981-1982, as the Chairman of the Aviation Section, 1985-1986, and he is currently a member of the Litigation Section and Mediation/Arbitration Section of the Bar. He was a Captain in the USAF, 1970-1974, serving as a B-52 Navigator.
