John McKinley, Jr has a diversified civil trial practice, focusing on transportation, premises liability/negligent security, and general liability tort litigation. He represents self-insureds and insured companies in cases involving motor carriers, residential and commercial properties, restaurants, and other tort matters.

Mr. McKinley also represents car dealerships on various legal matters, including claims involving express and implied warranties, lemon law, the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, fraud, bad faith, and other alleged breaches of contractual and tort obligations.

He regularly speaks to corporations and claims professionals on a variety of insurance and tort matters.

Prior to joining the firm as a partner in 2007, Mr. McKinley served as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Georgia, practicing in the Environmental and Civil Rights Litigation Sections of the Law Department and was also a partner at another Atlanta law firm.

Mr. McKinley is currently serving as a member of the firm’s Management Committee.
