Edward “Mickey” Bresee, Jr. joined Mozley, Finlayson & Loggins in 1991 and has been an equity partner since 1998. His national practice includes aviation litigation, subrogation litigation, products liability litigation, first-party property, and insurance coverage.
Prior to joining the firm, he served three years as an Assistant District Attorney where he gained extensive courtroom experience trying felony criminal cases. Mr. Bresee has tried more than 40 jury trials in various state and federal courts. He has been voted one of Georgia’s Super Lawyers every year since 2016.
Mr. Bresee has lectured frequently in Georgia and throughout the country on topics including aviation litigation, insurance subrogation and bad faith law. He presented a CLE paper and lecture on The Death on the High Seas Act in the fall of 2023 to the Aviation Section of the Georgia Bar. He delivered the 2006 keynote address at the 2006 SMU Air Law Symposium and has presented lectures at the Aviation Insurance Association. He has been a trial techniques instructor at the National Institute of Trial Advocacy at Emory University. Mr. Bresee has also lectured at seminars sponsored by the Aviation Section of the Georgia Bar Association and the National Association of Subrogation Professionals.
