Bridgette Eckerson joined the firm in 2012 as an associate and became a partner in 2018. She practices in the areas of trucking, premises liability, products liability, insurance defense, and insurance coverage litigation.
Prior to joining the firm, Mrs. Eckerson was an associate at another Atlanta law firm, specializing in products liability in the defense of firearms manufacturers, distributors, and retailers. She was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 2002, and has been admitted to practice in the Georgia Supreme Court, the Georgia Court of Appeals, and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
Mrs. Eckerson was born in Columbus, Ohio. She attended the University of Virginia where she received a B.A. in Foreign Affairs in 1997. She received her J.D. from Georgia State University College of Law in 2002, with honors in litigation. During law school, Mrs. Eckerson was a member of the Moot Court Board and president of the Association for Women Law Students. Also during law school, Mrs. Eckerson served as a clerk for the Honorable Magistrate Judge Joel M. Feldman and as an intern at the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Georgia.
Mrs. Eckerson has served on the Georgia Bar Journal Editorial Board since 2002 and was appointed Editor-in-Chief in 2012.
